Accommodations MAIN SALON, Main Deck Amidship, upon entry from a sliding door on the Aft Deck, there is a comfortable curved seating area with a cocktail/game table. To starboard is an additional Settee. Bookshelves, cabinets, and large panoramic windows make this a very comfortable and inviting area. Down two steps is the Dining Salon which seems to be a large but separate extension of the Salon. DINING SALON, Main Deck Amidship, the Dining Salon is a large open room with numerous panoramic windows. On the portside is a Dining Table with seating for 8 to 10 guests. Stowage is under the seating with additional built-in storage cabinets with louvered doors on the starboard side. MASTER STATEROOM, Below Deck Aft, the Master Stateroom is separated from the Salon and forward Guest Staterooms and becomes its own private suite. The walkaround centerline bed is a true king size. Generous stowage with plenty of hanging lockers, drawers, and cabinets. Bright and voluminous, there are multiple lighting options. GUEST STATEROOM, Below Deck Forward Amdiship, the forward Stateroom has twin beds, V-berth configuration, hanging lockers, drawers, and stowage. GUEST STATEROOM, Below Deck Forward Port, this Stateroom has twin beds, dresser, hanging locker, and stowage. HEAD, Below Deck Forward Starboard, the forward Head serves as a day Head or for use by the Guest Cabins. It has a ceramic tiled shower and large sink and vanity area. MASTER HEAD, Below Deck Aft, the Master Stateroom has a split Head arrangement. On the port side, at the forward part of the Master Suite is a Head with a shower/tub combination, double sink, and vanity. The same location on the starboard side has a freshwater Head and a sink. CAPTAIN'S QUARTERS, Below Deck Aft Port, this cabin is entered from the Aft Deck and is separate from other living areas. It has a single berth, separate air conditioning, and a head with shower. The Galley is conveniently located adjacent to the Dining Salon and is well laid out. The Galley was remodeled in 1998 and the new cabinetry, appliances, tiled countertops, and openess to the Dining and Entertaining Salons make it conducive to cooking for numerous guests. The GALLEY, Main Deck Admidship, is equipped with AEG Clothes Washer and Dryer, GE Dishwasher, GE Freezer, GE Microwave Oven, GE Refrigerator, Stainless Steel Double Sink, Ceramic Tiled Counter, Ceran Cooktop Stove, Toaster Oven, Bread Machine, etc. |
Pilothouse and Flybridge PILOTHOUSE, Main Deck Forward, the Pilothouse has side deck doors on port and starboard and also has entry two steps up from the Galley/Salon. This is a classic Wheelhouse that has large windows for good visibility and light. Comfortable seating on the Settee. Well laid out and traditional, the Helm has full instrumentation. FLYBRIDGE, the Upper Deck has a Helm with Steering Station, instrumentation and repeaters. Bimini cover and cushioned seating make the Flybridge another great area for entertaining. Aft of the Helm Station and seating are two deck lockers, freezer, 12 man life raft, bicycle rack, and davit.

Hull, Main
Deck, and Fore Deck
HULL, the entire yacht, bottom, superstructure, topsides, and
decking are constructed of high grade marine quality aluminum, built
to Lloyds specifications for worldwide cruising. All underwater gear
and plating are protected by 33 zinc anodes. The topside exterior
decks are non-skid aluminum plate flush welded. All ribs, framing
bulkheads, compartment hatches, rails and bulwarks are made of
aluminum. New bottom paint in 2001. Stainless steel skegs and
rudders. MAIN DECK, the expansive covered Aft Deck is practical for
daily usage or for entertaining. An ice maker and stowable electric
grill are convenient. On the portside is entry to the Crew Quarters.
To starboard is a watertight door to the generator and utility room.
The Swim Platform is large and accessed by steps on port and
starboard sides from the Aft Deck. The walkaround side decks are
provided coverage from the upper deck overhang. FORE DECK: The
"Marco Polo" has a serious anchoring system including two navy style
anchors, a large Fortress as a spare, and an additional spare
anchor. There is a built-in saltwater anchor chain washer and the
watertight collision locker has a bilge pump. A large U-shaped
seating area has stowage beneath where an 1 and 1/2 inch fire hose
is stored. There is a saltwater connection for the fire hose on both
the Fore and Aft Decks. Three lockers are aft.

Engine Room and
Electrical System
ENGINE ROOM, Below Deck Amidship, has a 6 ton chilled water air
conditioning system with 11 air handlers. Bilge pumps are
hydraulically driven by each engine: Port pump doubles as
fire/bilge; starboard pump is set up as a cooler on the
hydraulics or fire/bilge. There is a Type 1 MSD Galley Maid
waste treatment plant in its own utility room. Separate
generator room. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, there are additional
individual starting batteries for each engine and generator.

Fishing
Equipment and Additional FISHING EQUIPMENT, Six rod holders are built into the Swim Platform, along with storage lockers housing electric outlets for downriggers and grill. ADDITIONAL: "Marco Polo" has 6'04" headroom, bridge clearance is 26'06", with the mast lowered air draft is 21'06". Fuel consumption is 1.5 gallons per mile. Range is 2,500 nm. Each cabin has its own air handler with separate air conditioning and heating units. Smoke alarms in every cabin. Complete refit in 1997/98; bottom painted mid 2001; new soft goods in Salon in 2001. |
