The American Institute of Marine Studies, Inc.
was charged in 1974 with the primary purpose
of developing educational programs in oceanography,
tropical agriculture, and interrelated fields.
From the millennium year our primary focus
shall be to assist the education and research needed for
the replenishment of the world's marine resources.

  

We have the honor of working with RSMAS Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science Center for Sustainable Fisheries. We are providing vessels and assistance for inland waters and coral reef studies.

 

The American Institute for Marine Studies works closely with the Broward County School Board offering several ways to augment educational opportunities. AIMS is one of a very few organizations in the district approved to conduct water related field trips. As a member of Partners in Education, AIMS can work directly with classrooms providing a maximum ratio of donation benefits to the projects intended. Our major Partners in Education program involves  The Marine Science Magnet Schools of Broward County, Florida.
